Such a delicious restaurant! Every time we go we find something else to love. Definitely pay attention to the daily specials. I highly recommend trying it and stepping out of your comfort zone a bit, although I believe there is something to appeal to every palate. Enjoy!
Definitely something different. It's best to make reservations it's a bit on the smaller side however in the summer time when you have the patio available this place will be amazing. There's a lot of tables in a small space making walking around a little difficult. The food was great I had the spare ribs the meat was so tender the fried chicken was fried perfectly mac and cheese was super cheesy. The grits 😯 oh man order the grits it was the first time I had it and it was AMAZING. The hushpuppy I'm not sure what that was but it was good. Was not a fan of the beignets they fell flat but the bread pudding in Jack Daniel's sauce was amazing. The staff did a wonderful job my server was super friendly spoke clearly attentive he made excellent suggestions.
Great service, combined with a nice ambiance make this restaurant very inviting. However, for me, the highlight is definitely the food. Each dish I had was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The tuna was probably the best I've ever tasted! Maybe my only criticism was that for me, the dessert was too sweet, but delicious nonetheless!
Top quality restaurant on every facet. We sat at the bar since we didn't have reservations and were lucky that there was a spot. There's a reason reservations are a must. The food is excellent and presented professionally. The service is superb and the people working there take great pride in seeing people's satisfaction. Choices are plentiful as well as diverse. A wide variety of drinks and wines are available. This gem of a restaurant tucked away in a petite mall is such a pleasure to experience. Prices are higher than surrounding places but the quality justifies it. They mentioned to is that they also serve brunch but reservations are needed. We will surely try that and I'm positive it will excell as well.
We just had an amazing creole soul food for our post Valentine's dinner date. Entrees and main dishes were so delish! To be honest, we didn't get the chance to try the desserts because of the generous proportions served. We ordered fried oysters, shrimp gumbo for starters and Salmon creole and blackened catfish as main dishes. It came with sweet potato mousse and freshly baked bread. I believe we paid a reasonably priced meal for two. Highly recommended!
Another great brunch at Bistro Nolah! Note to self: get a reservation! I always forget that part. But the wait is well worth it! Took a dark and stormy while waiting. It's legit good! The Sazerac is my favorite. And you need to try the casserole. Great portion and you wont need to eat for the rest of the day.
Amazing spot. Great atmosphere. Delicious, savory food with excellent service. Small menu but everything on there is delicious. The fried chicken and crab cakes are amazing. Then the shrimp jumbaliah and shrimp and grits are fantastic. Can't wait to return.
I have never tried Southern, Louisiana styled dishes but this is a must. A hidden gem in West Island. I like everything about this place from the ambiance, the bar, the setting, the food. My boyfriend ordered the short ribs while I tried the catfish. Their chicken for appetizers too. Very good. I will try their brunch next time.
A small and cozy restaurant focused on small details that added a special touch to our dinning experience. The waiter was great. It was our first time there and he introduced and explained he menu before bringing us some delicious hush-puppies courtesy of our chef. I ordered fried oysters served with a delicious mayo sauce while my partner had the sausage gumbo as our entrees....delicious and prepared fresh. For our main, I chose the shrimp jambalaya (served with these cute mini chilis that were a great pop of sweet and spicy). My partner had the braised short rib served with mash potatoes. Guys, do yourselves a favor...try this restaurant!
The food and service was absolutely amazing! It is a little on the pricey side but very much worth it. The menu is pretty small, but me and my friends each took a different dish both for the main meal and dessert, and we thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. Highly recommend!
